Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cheat Label (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website and tools at cheatlabel.com (the “Service”).
Summary
- Many tools process files entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device.
- Label, barcode, QR, packing slip, and invoice tools may send data to our servers only to generate PDFs and previews.
- Your address book, saved templates, theme preference, and similar settings are stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Label and document content: shipping addresses, recipient names, barcode/QR values, product titles, SKUs, quantities, prices, order IDs, custom fields, artwork, and files you upload (CSV, XLSX, PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG, and similar formats).
- Store and business details: optional store names, return/business addresses, and footer messages for packing slips and invoices.
- Saved preferences: label templates, address book entries, theme mode, and tool-specific settings you choose to save in your browser.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, request timestamps, and error details used for security, reliability, and debugging.
- Usage analytics: we use Google Tag Manager, which may set cookies or similar technologies to help us understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
- Job metadata: for some server-generated PDF workflows, we may temporarily store job names, label counts, label sizes, and status to enable previews and downloads.
How different tools handle your data
Processing varies by tool:
Processed entirely in your browser
These tools do not upload your files or inputs to our servers:
- PDF Compressor
- Swatch Studio
- Seller Converter
- Marketplace Image Resizer
- Thermal Label Fixer (single file)
- Batch Thermal Label Fixer
Processed on our servers
These tools send the data needed to generate output (for example, form fields, uploaded spreadsheets, or preview requests) to our servers:
- Single Label, Bulk Labels, Barcode Labels, and QR Codes
- Packing Slip Generator and Order Invoice Generator
Server processing is used to create PDF previews and downloads. We do not use your order or address data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service: generate previews, PDFs, ZIP downloads, and other outputs you request.
- To save work you request locally: address book entries, templates, theme preferences, and similar data stored in your browser stay on your device.
- To operate and improve the Service: monitor performance, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage patterns.
- To comply with law: respond to valid legal requests when required.
Where your data is stored
- Browser storage (localStorage): address book, templates, theme settings, and certain tool preferences remain on your device until you clear them.
- Session data: bulk workflow data may be held for the duration of your browser session to move you through multi-step flows.
- Server memory and temporary files: PDF jobs and preview requests may be stored temporarily in server memory or temp storage to fulfill your request and enable downloads. This data is not intended for long-term retention.
- Hosting: the Service is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: hosting, infrastructure, and analytics providers that help us operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting and Google Tag Manager).
- Content delivery networks: some client-side libraries (such as PDF.js) may be loaded from third-party CDNs when you use preview features.
- Legal requirements: when required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
- Protection: to protect the rights, property, or safety of Cheat Label, our users, or others.
Retention
- Browser-stored data remains until you delete it in the app or clear site data in your browser.
- Session and temporary server data is kept only as long as needed to complete your request or maintain short-term job history, then removed or overwritten.
- Server logs may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the Service, including HTTPS for data in transit. However, no method of storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Delete local data: remove saved addresses and templates in the app, or clear site data / localStorage in your browser.
- Edit before generating: you can review and change inputs before creating PDFs or downloads.
- Cookie controls: adjust browser settings to limit or block cookies and similar technologies.
- Do not provide data: if you choose not to provide certain information, some features may not work.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information. To exercise those rights, contact us using the information below.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
International users
Cheat Label is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. or other locations where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
