Why Shipping Labels Print on Half a 4×6 Sheet
Your printer is fine — the PDF page size is wrong. Letter-size label PDFs scaled to fit a 4×6 roll leave empty space or tiny barcodes.
Root causes
- Wrong page dimensions — 8.5×11 PDF on a 4×6 printer.
- Fit to page — driver shrinks the label instead of filling the roll.
- Margins — browser or Adobe adds margins that offset the label.
The fix
Use Thermal Label Fixer to export a PDF whose page size is exactly 4×6 inches (288×432 points). Print at 100% / Actual size with margins off.
